i spent 5 days in san francisco a few weeks ago for an excellent digital workflow photography workshop and got to catch up with my friend mel pilbin and her partner rebecca.  i gave them a portrait session for hosting me.  thank you, you are both really beautiful.  :)

holly's senior portraits at the grand lodge

holly chose mcmenamin's grand lodge in forest grove for her senior portraits and it was a gorgeous fall day.  perfect light and colors.  here are some of my favorites.  congrats on your senior year, holly!  you have a real natural beauty.  good luck to you!  

we doubled up during this portrait session for some quick family shots as well.  this is a really convenient option for busy families of seniors.  :)  

fall oregon wedding

i shot these photos during leah and john's beautiful wedding at bridal veil lakes in the oregon gorge.  they were determined to keep their ceremony outside and it paid off.  it rained a bit during our portraits but not at all during the ceremony.  then, when we were all safe under the dinner tents, it poured buckets!  a true oregon wedding.   congratulations leah and john!

portland senior portraits!

i just had to post these pics of emily.  she was so relaxed and easy to photograph!  have a great senior year, emily!  

i was lucky enough to be sent to hawaii for a wedding this summer through working with powers studios.  wow.  that was such an honor.  here's some of my days off on oahu!     

jackson indiana turns 2!!!

talk about photogenic, jackson was so cute in this photo shoot, i just couldn't stop taking pictures of his blond curls and rosy cheeks. at one point, he picked a green pepper from their garden and just took a bite of it.  i thought for sure he would hate it and make a gross face or cry, which i was poised to capture. But he likes them and just kept eating it like and apple!   

missy and justin, you have a beautiful boy and i look forward to taking lots more pictures of your family in the years to come.  :)
